As I contemplate designs for my 2015 clients, I took a few moments to combine some of my favorite textures and colors for a classic Maine wedding in June. I try as much as possible to buy from only local flower growers. One of my favorite and most utilized is Snell Family Farm in Buxton. (I also have a weakness for Broadturn Farms’ peonies and dahlias.) Carolyn at Snell Family Farm is amazing and always goes above and beyond to work with me in selecting textures, working within palettes and planting new and fun flowers. Roses are usually the sticking point. Carolyn has been ordering in roses from PeterKort Roses out of Oregon. They are stunning, but only sell wholesale. If you want to see more of Carolyn’s work, please join us in the Secret Garden Room at BESWOON on February 28th.
I hope that this board inspires you to look back to the summer gone by, or to day dream of the June that will be here soon.
